SIZING GUIDE
We cannot emphasize enough the importance of determining your true ring size. Although resizing rings is possible, multiple unnecessary ring sizings can add to wear and tear or harm the structural integrity of your ring. When possible, we always encourage our clients to start with their actual preferred ring size.
The type of ring should also be noted. Some styles of bands fit differently than others, and this should be taken into consideration when choosing your size. A wider band feels tighter than a narrow band in the same size does. If you plan on adding stacking bands to your set, the addition of more rings often necessitates going up in size. Rings with large and heavy stones can move around and thus feel “looser” than simple bands. These are all things to be taken into account when looking for your true size.
If you have questions about any of this and would like to speak to a professional, we are very happy to help. Please call us at the store at 510.488.9960.
For all of the reasons listed above, we strongly recommend getting professionally sized. If you are local, please make an appointment to stop in to the Oakland store so that we can help you with this.
If you are not local, your nearby jewelry store should be able to help you with a measurement so that you can have a better idea of your true size before we alter your ring. (Please note, we cannot guarantee another jeweler’s sizing. Just as clothing sizes vary from brand to brand, other jewelers can use different tools to gauge your size.)
If it is not possible for you to go to a jewelry store, we offer jewelry sizers here. However, sizing kits do not offer the same precision. (Please note that we cannot be responsible for incorrect ring size determination.)
