Altana leads the studio with a mix of precision and imagination, and is usually bouncing between the bench and big-picture design decisions.  She's never met a power tool she didn't love, and her creative fingerprints are everywhere. Outside the studio, she’s likely on a bike ride or hanging out with her husband & two sweet dogs, our resident shop celebrities, Salami & Santino. 

From the jewelry we make to the cacti in the garden, if something beautiful catches your eye here, there’s a good chance Altana had a hand in finding it or making it. No matter how long she does this, she still can't believe she gets paid to make art.

Sakura means cherry blossom in Japanese which symbolizes the fleeting beauty of life and renewal. Like her namesake, she's drawn to the organic, natural beauty in the world and loves free form carving as well as bringing her vision to life at the jewelry bench. When she’s not working, she’s usually traveling, spending time with her family, or gathering inspiration somewhere new.

She's our resident gift whisperer. Time and again, she helps our clients find the perfect piece for the people they love. The definition of chill, Sakura is the one we all search out when we need to be reminded to breathe.

Sketch artist extraordinaire, jewelry tech, and bead-and-pearl connoisseur. 

Ana Sofia has a talent for turning loose ideas into detailed visuals (and making everything look just a little more fun than it started). She’s also our go-to baker, animal magnet, and general source of studio joy. She’s the Gen Z compliment to our millennial hearts, constantly teaching us all how to use brand new tech and complicated formulas and generally preventing us from tossing our computers in the trash. She created a spreadsheet for us called the God Formula. Do we know how it works? No. Do we need it everyday? Yes.

She's headed to Italy for a few months next year to continue her jewelry education in style, so who's going to bring us cupcakes while she's gone?

Shop manager, ceramicist, motor cycle enthusiast, in-house creative anchor, and sister number two. 

Despite our heavy workload, Bobette somehow keeps the studio running smoothly every day while adding her own artistic touch whenever she can. She pairs her creative perspective with an impressive attention to detail, bringing both beauty and structure to everything she takes on. When not at the shop, she’s an avid traveler, always bringing back stories, ideas, and probably something handmade.  

Bobby quite literally keeps things from falling apart at the store, including the rest of the team that would forget to feed themselves if left to their own devices.

Cassandra keeps everything on track behind the scenes so the creative chaos can move freely up front. Don't let her spreadsheets fool you. When she's not managing the inbox, she's taking epic outdoor adventures with her three young children, whom she homeschools. She's currently working remotely while staying closely connected to the studio’s daily flow.

If you have a question about your project, she’s the one to hit up. She may not know the answer immediately, but she’ll use her Type A skills to wrangle the information out of our free spirited artists and get back to you as quickly as possible.

The OG, Queen of the Shop

Salami is the heart of the shop and our original four-legged team member. She has been here since the very beginning. She oversaw construction, supervised every detail, and has made it her lifelong mission to ensure that all the dogs walking up and down Piedmont Avenue know who is really in charge. She may be tiny, but Salami has never let that stop her from thinking very, very big.

If you don't see her when you walk through the door, there's a good chance she's tucked into Ana Sofia's lap while she sketches, offering quiet supervision and the occasional reminder to take a break. She accepts payment only in the form of cuddles & treats.

Garden Patrol & Head of Security

Santino takes his job very seriously. As our official greeter and resident bodyguard, he keeps a watchful eye on the shop, patrols the garden, and makes sure every guest gets a proper welcome. At heart, though, he's still just a puppy who believes everyone is a friend and every soft chair is his rightful due.

A big personality in an even bigger body, he has never met a treat he didn't like, a guest he didn't want to greet, or a patch of our garden oasis he didn't think deserved investigating.
